Our Security Deposit is $300.00. A hold will be placed on the card you provided at booking starting 24 hours before your rental. If the card is declined and you do not provide another card for the deposit, you will not be able to rent the vehicle. A Tesloop Concierge will get in contact with you for additional payment details. If you would like to use a separate card, please let us know.
If you are a driver with an international driver’s license and we approve your rental request, your Security Deposit will be $1,500.00 and will be put on hold starting 24 hours before your rental. You will also be required to provide proof of insurance. Most, if not all, personal auto insurance policies do not cover drivers when they travel abroad. You can double check with your insurance provider to make sure. If your credit card that you submitted the rental request with has collision insurance on it, then you will be good to go.
Tesloop does not currently offer an insurance option for renters, but will in the future. If you are an international traveler and need to find insurance, we suggest contacting a local travel agency for recommendations.
The Security Deposit hold will be released and refunded within 3-10 business days of a rental with no damage that is outside the limits of what is considered normal wear and tear.
Shuttle Credits, Carmiq Credits, and any other form of credit, discount or coupons may not be applied to the Security Deposit.
